Home › News › World Congress on Osteoporosis World Congress on Osteoporosis Published May 9, 2023 The International Osteoporosis Foundation has hosted the first in-person World Congress for Osteoporosis after several years of virtual meetings due to Covid. Over 3,000 delegates attended, representing clinicians, researchers and patient societies. Healthy Bones Australia received the Best Regional Campaign Award for World Osteoporosis Day. The IOF stressed the ongoing innovation and research in the bone field and the importance of consumer access to treatment options. The need for action was communicated – including early diagnosis, greater awareness and higher policy priority to protect bone health.
