Healthy Bones Australia has participated in the first-ever World Patient Alliance Conference hosted in Rome from 16 to 18 October.  The conference gathered national patient organisations and international health organisations from five continents

Hussain Jafri, Executive Director of the World Patients Alliance, said, “The patient community has proved to be a leading force in bringing forward solutions during times of unprecedented healthcare challenges and crises.”

The conference focused on topics pertinent to the world’s patient community, including patient changes and challenges, opportunities and challenges in Universal Health Coverage, the global patient safety movement, global readiness in healthcare emergencies, and more.

Greg Lyubomirsky, CEO of Healthy Bones Australia, has been selected to represent the Asia Pacific Region on the Advisory Committee of the World Patients Alliance, together with Penney Cowan, Head of the American Chronic Pain Association and Andrew Speigel, President of World Patients Alliance (pictured above).
